There are two user filters in the settings which default to the stricter hiding. Politics and sensitive content.
Some of these might be under either of those filters and even with both set to show content some of these are hidden.
Which is default? Strict?
That’s what matters because it’s what 95% of people are using.

Didn’t know that was an option (not a big IG user) but I checked and I have no filters so that makes sense.
#democrats was DEFINITELY blocked for me an hour and a half ago
