Hi. This is a test post from Lemmy to test federation between discuss.tchncs.de and forum.wedistribute.org. Let’s see how it works.
Just a test reply.
@[email protected] reading it from NodeBB 👏
do upvotes change anything in nodebb?
strange to see post with 0 upvotes.edit: maybe some federation thing, because i’m from programming.dev?
@[email protected] yes, upvotes from Lemmy should carry across to NodeBB.
Seeing this from community.nodebb.org, though posts from forum.wedistribute.org are completely empty here:
@[email protected] Can you see this?
@julian There seems the be something wrong between the federation of community.nodebb.org and forum.wedistribute.org.
Hmm, my edit was not sent to forum.wedistribute.org either, but it was sent to Lemmy.
@[email protected] Hmm, weird. Can see your reply and the screenshot, not totally sure why my response came up as empty on your end?
Ok, I can see this reply.

There seems to be something wrong when manually fetching posts via the search bar (I mentioned this in an edit on my first post, but that edit to not make it through either).
@AltCode are you still having issues with @[email protected]’s posts?
I am able to see the post content here. Is it still blank for you?
@julian No, not any more. @[email protected]’s older post in this thread is now visible.
Though weirdly enough, now all of @[email protected]’s posts in this thread, except for the very last one, are blank
They aren’t blank when I view the thread on forum.wedistribute.org and community.nodebb.org. I’m not logged in, viewing from Firefox on Android.
@squirrel Let’s see if a reply from Mastodon shows up
Edit: maybe I have to tag @[email protected]
deleted by creator
I can see it on Lemmy, but not on the forum.
@squirrel Based on my experience interacting with Lemmy from Mastodon, I need to tag communities when they’re not on the same server as the person I’m replying to in order for it to federate. I don’t seem to be able to tag the forum.
Now your posts made it to nodeBB. Nice.
