I love to see the progress the Gnome team is making.
I try to shut up about it, but I feel that Linux has the superior desktop experience now across pretty much every aspect (both on Gnome and KDE, honestly).
Great, I much prefer this. I always know where windows are going to open.
The current standard behaviour is somewhat unpredictable to me, and I’m not a fan.
I am unsure about this. In the end its a matter of habit. Would be nice if GNOME would add a good automatic tiling option as well.
This is part of that endeavor. Rather than doing their tiling stuff at app launch time, they want to handle the tiling more dynamically.
Sounds good to me. Something like hyprland would be awesome for me :)
Before seems a bit more useful.
I prefer centered because it’s more consistent. Before the window even appears, I center my mouse so that I can move it where I want it.
