It’s kind of amazing (no pun intended). For a very long time, you could track her throughout the house by her snorting / wheezing - she was on par with my fifty+ pound dog in terms of snoring noises.

We thought it was because of allergies and hoped it would disappear when we moved hundreds of miles away from the theorized allergens, but nothing really changed. Recently, we took her to the vet for her swollen ear and they prescribed antibiotics (and some other stuff). Since then, in a matter of two or three weeks, her wheezing has almost disappeared.

We thought that the vet wouldn’t help much because we thought the cause was allergies, but I wish we’d taken her earlier. She’s clearly breathing so much more freely now.

Her ear injury appears to be largely cosmetic, so I don’t think it’s hurting her, but I’m glad someone professional looked at it.
