I have been struggling with my mental health this week and seeing her really helped me. She seemed to pick up on it and was being extra playful and affectionate.

When we visited Claiborne Farms in Kentucky, I was surprised how many peppermints they gave Orb, one of the Derby winners that was there. I guess it’s not a lot of teeth to brush and keep clean though.

I try not to give horses people candy too much just because it isn’t the best for them. Horses don’t get their teeth brushed, but do get them floated every once in a while, which is just filing down the teeth to get sharp edges away and make the teeth smoother in order to chew better

I post Sandy pics here all the time lol. She is the Arabian that makes her rounds here.

I want to braid her tail, but she rubs her butt on her stall wall a lot and I’m afraid she’ll just rub off all the hair. The hair on the outside of the base of her tail is SOOOOO short and the rest of her tail is pretty thin. Like the individual hairs are really thick, but they’re sparser than I’d like. She’s like 30, so that isn’t surprising lol.

I think I recognize Sandy if you’ve posted about her before! She’s the cute little Arabian?

If she (and you) are comfortable with it, have you tried braiding her tail? I always loved giving my horse a French braid, or getting creative and trying other styles

She looks great! And yeah horses have a great ability to pick up on emotions
