Moscow’s intelligence services have launched a new type of attack on the west, violent but piecemeal and hard to prove

European intelligence agencies say Moscow has launched a campaign of sabotage, arson and disinformation against the continent. Sometimes, it is focused on specific targets related to support for the Ukrainian war effort, but more often it is simply aimed at causing chaos and unease.

In Lithuania, an Ikea shop was set on fire; in Britain, seven people were charged over an arson attack on a business with links to Ukraine; in France, five coffins inscribed with the words “French soldiers in Ukraine” were left under the Eiffel Tower; in Estonia, the car windows of the interior minister and a local journalist were smashed. There have been numerous suspicious fires in Poland, including one that destroyed a huge shopping centre in Warsaw.

Taken together, the incidents point to how Russia’s intelligence services have moved towards a new kind of attack on the west, one that is dangerous and violent but also piecemeal and hard to prove.

    Well, this kind of makes sense, since in 2014 the CIA. supported a coup that got rid of their democratically elected president while also outlawing socialist parties. And now Zelensky, who’s using the Azov battalion and right-wing fascist to go do sabotage in Russia, I mean it’s tit for tat, you know. Like lib turds want to get excited about these things, but the back and forth is justified. I’m just like another day in a capitalist world, you know, towards the later stages. It’s like when it rains or when the sun rises, it’s just normal. Just like Americans normalize school shootings. Like, ooh, evil puteen… Come on, look at this cheeseburger eating fool that’s continuing Biden’s wars. I also could give you all the think tank PDF about what they plan on doing in Israel and Iran but the United States I think is going to drop a nuclear weapon on Iran who doesn’t want war with the United States and then they’re going to do the whole bad cop good cop scenario with Israel when in reality America is directing Israel to do these things so we’re going to try to come off like the good guy. Yankies live in a vacuum and they don’t like details. They just want to look good while doing it. All hail the Empire.

      I guess that could be seen as small scale terrorism, a “message” in case the countries decide to further aid Ukraine. For Lithuania and the other baltic countries, the threat is significantly larger than at countries that don’t share a border with Russia.
