I like some metal and metal adjacent music. The music was nice but repetitive? I didn’t feel like it went anywhere for much of the song. Growled or screamed lyrics are often hard to understand, and I only followed this one because I found a lyric video.
It’s fine for background music for me, but I don’t think I’d stop what I was doing to listen.
This is a common opinion of agalloch - some friends whose tastes I respect very much also say the same as you lol
Minus the growled vocals critique. Growled vocals in metal should be thought of as more of an instrument to fill that area of the mix. Understandable lyrics are just a bonus
I like to sing along in the car, so intelligible lyrics count for a lot for me personally. I have tried the screaming and growling and it’s great fun, even though it does hurt after a while!
Who or what is Agalloch? I am guessing a Scottish or Irish football team?
Best band
Oh interesting. Recommend a song or album?

Thank you, friend.
Curious what you thought :) if you aren’t already into metal it might be slightly too extreme but that riff is kind of like “sweet child of mine” lol
