Black star seems inevitable. Otherwise it would be the only row with no black star. Also, it would complete the pattern of black star moving from 1st to 3rd position.
It also is a perfect fit for a sudoku style with ever symbol appearing not only once per link, but also per column. And completes “3 of every kind of symbol”.
