Hello lovely people!

I’m making this post to request some help from the blind community. I recently made a simple website which converts a provided google maps location link to the OSMAnd format.

Unfortunately, from what I’ve heard/read it is not too common for open source software to have accessibility features built in as they take time to develop and test, and most developers don’t spare the time necessary to do so. It is however important to me and something I believe in that developers should make their software in such a way as to not be exclusionary. As such, I did my best to add screen reader support to my website, and did some basic testing.

Despite the testing I did seeming to work with my screen reader setup, I can not be sure that it is what the standard setup is because I myself am not blind, nor can I be sure that the screen reader support I have included is actually useful for people who actually need it.

And so, here I am asking you to test it if you would be so kind. Please try to use it, and come back to me with any feedback you have. Let me know what works, what doesn’t, and what I can do better to make it a good experience for you.

The link to the website is at the top of this post, as well as here: https://gmaps2osm.de/

Many thanks in advance! promitheas
