Is there a UK focussed community for running? I had a look, and I couldn’t find any.

Thank you! If I do end up creating one, I would like it on Feddit UK, so would I need someone such as yourself to create it for me?

Thank you for the suggestion. I guess in the scope of Lemmy maybe it’s a little bit niche, but the running community in the UK is growing and growing, so there’s definitely the community for it, just not on Lemmy at the moment.

Not that I’m aware of. There’s a more generic running community on world I think, and that doesn’t get that much traffic.

What kind of content would you like to see in such a community?

So I’ve thought about this and what I would like to have is a UK focused running community that exists outside of Instagram, which currently is the dominant place for running content, particularly running crews. I’m quite active in the London running crew scene and there are things like shakeout races, community events that only get posted about on Instagram and I would love to share those outside of Instagram.

I’m thinking something like the hashtag #UKRunChat, but as a Lemmy community, that I would happily help moderate and manage.
