Aha! Now we see the violence inherent in the system!
Bloody peasant!
It’s not easy being green.
He may not have voted for Aragorn, but he did swear an oath to Isildur. That oath was still yet unfulfilled.
Sorry, what did I miss? That it’s from the Monty Python sketch? I get the original joke, but how it is applied here doesn’t quite add up to the same situation.
It’s not so much that Aragorn is a king, rather it’s that an oath was broken causing the souls to not rest.
This is also ignoring that the “repressed” in this image is called “The King of the Dead”, and monarchies are the butt of the original joke.
The crossover we didn’t know we needed.
Question did anybody else completely forget these ghoul guys existed on their first watch? I rewatched the trilogy recently and it was like this was a whole new section
you don’t vote for a new king, they just get born and wait for their father to die
Are we sure he didn’t get sovereignty from lady Galadriel?
Psh, that watery bint?
If I went around, claiming supreme executive power, just because some watery tart lobbed a scimitar at me, well they’d put me away!
