          The idea that it jumped species via sex is a racist trope I heard back in elementary school. Damn near 30 years ago. Like when I heard it back than it didn’t make any common sense to me at 6 years old, and to think there’s grown adults 3 decades later still typing that bullshit into comments.

            Back then I heard it as probably blood getting in some dudes eyes while butchering a primate, but I was in high school by then, I think I read it in a National Geographic magazine (boy has that company changed since).
