Recreational sale only started late october. Id expect prices to go down over time. 32 for an eighth is still better than the 55 an eighth that the native tribes have been selling for since it was legalized in 2022.
I can only assume this refers to the average price of retail, prepackaged units of things like bags of gummies or individually packaged vapes. I’ve never bought from a dispensary directly but my understanding is that they still sell by the gram, so idk what the fuck else it could refer to.
At least where I am they like to standardize on selling eigths or quarters as the main sizes you can buy for flower. It doesn’t always hold true, but it does seem to be the standard most companies try to accommodate and it makes sense.

It greatly depends on quality.
Primo shit is $30-60.
Mids are around $20.
Outdoor/schwag can be as low as $5 an 8th.
I never spend more than $10 for a 1/4, myself. But I also am in California, so maybe NY just sucks. 🤷♂️
