What the fuck was that bullshit.
I won’t criticize the match because I’m just not into WWE’s style of wrestling, but a little smirk and a tap he could have used to burp a baby was a lame ass ending to Cena’s career. Having a clip of Vince in the farewell video was just a cherry on the turd cake for me.
They shoulda done it at the spot where the ref was checking if he was conscious, make it so Gunther had to literally almost kill Cena to win, I wouldn’t have been as pissed at the finish, not whatever that finish was.
I would have been fine with it ending when it did if Cena would have sold it like he was actually in pain. Instead he looked like he was about to shrug and say, “Well, THAT just happened.”
I guess it’s on me, too. I know I don’t like WWE’s style so I don’t know why I went in expecting something I’d like.
Was exactly what I expected was gonna happen (minus the lil smile) lol
It’s the little smile and dainty tap that ruined it, if he looked like he was dying and it was the only thing to do to survive, I wouldn’t be anywhere near as pissed as I was.
