      Friend had one that was a TV/Radio/Betamax player. We watched Explorers on it a few times.

      I had one too but with the cassette player(no pc)… Bought it used from the TV repair shop… And Umm… Can you get my walker for me?

    That thing is magnificent! The only point of failure I see on it that would be tough to fix is that keyboard. I’ll bet the PCB’s are all through hole and hand soldered. True reverse on the cassette deck is a nice touch. Man that tuner pulls all the bands! I wonder if the computer ran off the cassette like an old TRS or if it was just a fancy calculator.

    I love how big and chunky these things are but I bet if you open them up it’s just a lot of empty space.

      I’ll wager this thing has at least 5 PCBs crammed in there , each chock-full of discrete components.
