    Interesting setup episode.

    While not much action happens, we get a little more information on why this town is so screwed up economically.

    He’s taking a gamble: If he’s right, then he could stabilize his home base. If he’s wrong, he could be killed by Demon Beasts, starve to death.

    It seems like the theme for this show is anti-superstition and anti-religion.

    I’m guessing that his challenges to that world’s orthodox beliefs and superstition will be successful.

    My guess is she didn’t succeed in not burning her clothes for that day:
