This performance of While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Prince is incredible.
How many upvotes can i give this?
I have to second Prince’s guitar on “while my guitar gently weeps.” Phenomenal.
Also the Talking Heads’ “stop making sense” concert film is very well done:
Damn, Prince’s solo was epic!
Melt-Banana at the Knitting Factory, 2007. Melt-Banana is my favorite band in the world, and this isn’t the best audio, but it REALLY captures the feel of the live performance. (I was at this show. I’m the guy with dreads in the front row directly in front of the cameraman.)

Probably this one, tbh. The drummer is fucking wild
Peter Gabriel’s Secret World 1993
The accompanying double-album is great too.
Off the top of my head: Parliament Funkadelic - The Mothership Connection, Live In Houston 1976.
That’s my go to. An amazing show and never fails to get me in a good mood or cheer me up. Parliament Funkadelic is magic.
Devin Townsend, this concert is mind-blowing.
Oh hell yeah. I came into the comments specifically to find this one.

John Farnham - Help. This guy is a household name in Australia, but almost unknown abroad. In this clip, he’s just given a Three hour, high energy concert and is called out for an encore. He performs this.
It’s a candidate for the best cover - ever.
All-time? Not sure. But recently I was pretty damn blown away by The Make-Up, 1998.
More recently, The Dø there is something really special about this performance. This version of Hangover is much better than the recorded version in my opinion.
All of the Blogotheque videos are pretty incredible, something for almost anyone to find compelling.
Ooh I really like this one and the Le Lab Virgin Radio one, especially Opposite Ways. So much better than the album versions.
