0110101001100010to Technology@lemmy.ml•Facebook turns over mother and daughter’s chat history to police resulting in abortion chargesEnglish298·2 years agoNot that facebook doesn’t suck and we definitely shouldn’t federate with Threads. But here’s another article on this. Very late abortion where the fetus was probably viable. 17 year old was like, “I can’t wait to get this thing out of me. I can finally where jeans.” swallowed some pills to abort. Burned and buried the body on a farm. and the mom and daughter told the police about the facebook messages.
0110101001100010toLemmy.ca's Main Community@lemmy.ca•Request: lemmyNSFW instance filtering in All & LocalEnglish2·2 years agoi agree with this. would also block country/foreign language instances I’m unable to engage with. For now I’ve blocked individual communities and NSFW. The NSFW block works for me but blocking communities instead of an instance is inefficient.
0110101001100010OPto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•what are all the rule memes/posts that fill my all communities - hot feed?1·2 years agofound you can block communities, under username, settings, blocks. hate to do it though. but either it’s over active bots or the hot algo needs tweaking.
0110101001100010OPto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•what are all the rule memes/posts that fill my all communities - hot feed?1·2 years agois it bots copying over all the old posts from reddit or something? someone should ask them to slow their roll. it’s making the All Communities feed unusable and right now thats a fun way to discover new communities to subscribe too.
is there a way to filter specific communities out of your All feed?
0110101001100010to Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How do you sub to/find communities? Are you limited to which ones are available on an instance?3·2 years agoi’m able to do it in the browser by tapping the top-right elipse menu and selecting communities, then browsing/searching and subscribing. But the iOS app i am using doesn’t seem to have a way to do it.

Had deeted my reddit account but needed something to read. Regarding HN federation, I installed neonmodem on my mac which aggregates HN, and Lemmy together. I like. waiting on the Mlem beta to open again or the app to release. using safari on iOS atm.
you’ve got this dad! Our hospital had a bunch of new parent classes we took including a first time dad’s class which was great.
