So far I have made two friends two play the entire Portal 2 campaign while I watched just so I can get a hit of the drug one more time

Seriously, i was just on a plane that was stuck on the tarmac for around 20 minutes and the plane was super hot (thanks Phoenix) and I thought I was going to freak out at some point. Also made me realize I should really have a bottle of water with me on every flight
My bones are hurting
Whatcha making there? It looks like a shrews fiddle 😉
You say investors see lots of active users who actively hate the site and don’t see future growth.
I think they see a lot of users who say they hate the site but despite that they still use the site and the numbers continue to grow. To me that sounds like a dependent user base that even through hard times continues to grow.
“Oh no, anyways…”

Well stop doing your part. Stop interacting with Reddit. They are almost certainly doing Place right now just to boost their numbers and you’re falling for it

BaconReader was my first Reddit app on Android all the way before there was even an official app. I remember one time the developer sent me some BaconReader stickers in the mail.
I read the book recently for the first time and then watched the movie. The entire time I thought this is awesome to see these scenes from the book but I would have absolutely o idea what’s going on if I didn’t just read it

I would rather users depends on a third party service for stuff like video. These are volunteer services and hosting/transcoding videos is a heavy process that I don’t think Lemmy instances should really have to worry about
Minecraft Reddit was probably my introduction to Reddit back in 2011. Quite a different place back then. I remember excitingly reading new Snapshot patch notes posted by RedstoneHelper.
Hm, since like it may be smart to have multiple alts on different instances as mods
To me it sounds like this is more about your job then the pandemic
It wasn’t all of them. Just 1/2 of them.
Hijacking to pose another legacy piracy question. My dad would often buy pirated DVDs at the barbershop. You know, with the sharpeid title on the disk. Occasionally we would get a DVD with an unfinished movie in it. It would often have a watermark saying something like “Property of Universal “ and some scenes, especially CG heavy ones, would be incomplete. I assume these were leaked from editing houses or the sort but is this a type of release that’s seen in modern pirating?
