You shouldn’t need to do that anymore, batteries are much larger and chipsets are more efficient than when removable batteries were the norm. But even if you do need to charge, that’s why fast charging exists.
This site doesn’t appear to definitively support your statement. The secton on ultra-fast charging, which appears to be written in relation to EVs rather than phones, does state that high temperatures and charging over 80%/keeping a battery at 100% can be detrimental to a battery’s lifespan. However, the “scientific research” it claims to reference is nearly a decade old and so there is no mention of the advancements in cooling and charging technology that have occured in that time. It’s the equivalent of someone basing their opinion on the technology that existed when the Galaxy S7 was a new phone. Most (all?) phones come with battery regulation features built into the software now, and there have been many improvements made to internal ventilation and heat distribution as well as the chargers themselves. I’m not convinced it’s as clear cut as you’re making it out to be and this extremely outdated website certainly doesn’t support your argument.
Do you have evidence to support that claim? Batteries and charging technology have come a long way over the years.
You can still replace the battery. It requires more work but it’s generally not a complicated or difficult process on most phones and you only have to do it every few years. I’m not trying to defend non-removable batteries, but I think sometimes consumers pretend they are more powerless than they actually are over these issues.
I haven’t played it or followed it since the big map rework, so I’m not sure how it’s been progressing since, but I definitely had the same feeling prior to that. A lot of the balance changes around gun vs spirit damage, soul sharing, denies, etc, felt like they trying to turn it into a slower, ability based team game that was more accomodating to MOBA players at the expense of FPS players like myself. Maybe that’s a safer bet in the long-run but I think a big part of the reason the game blew up in the first place was because it appealed to a broader audience that included FPS players, so you had a lot of the big streamers from that genre getting hooked on it.
I feel like the fanbase for that show goes rabid for any of the really obvious “cApItaLisM bAd” dystopian episodes, which are probably my least favourite just because they’re never particularly creative. As you say, they’ll start with an obvious point and never develop it any further. It’s kinda like one of those satirical news sites where the headline is 99% of the joke and the rest of the article is just filler than nobody bothers to read.
(Still a good show overall though, I appreciate that they’ve retained some variety over the years despite the quirky/light hearted episodes typically receiving a worse reception).
I’ve never used an assistant. Aside from the privacy issues, I’ve just always found them massively cringe unless they are being used for accessibility purposes. Sorry everyone in this thread, but when you guys talk to your phone or “smart home” stuff to complete basic 2 second tasks you look fucking stupid.
EDIT: I get it, I triggered you guys. You aren’t gonna convince me by explaining how very smart you are telling your phone to flick a light switch for you.
Kinda reminds me of the first episode of the latest season of Black Mirror, which was a rather shallow critique of subscription models that received rave reviews from viewers despite the fact they were watching it on Netflix.
Is the US now officially a “shithole country”?
Agree with others, a good choice for stability and the public image of the party going forwards. I’m glad she found time alongside her family commitments.
Well if you do decide to give it a try, there’s a double XP event happening this weekend. Populations are usually higher on the weekends anyway, but considering the recent merge and double XP the server should be particularly lively. The evenings will probably see 3 continents open, with ~1000 players on the main one.
I don’t know if there’s any actor I feel that way about as I generally don’t watch films based on the cast, but probably the closest would be Song Kang-ho. He delivers consistently great performances and works with many writers and directors that I like.
That was my first thought too. I thought the whole reason Android moved away from animation bloat was to improve performance, but everyone seems to be heading back in the opposite direction now. Samsung’s OneUI 7 also added tons of animations that have no functional benefit.
PlayStation is pretty dead and hasn’t received an update in like 4 years or something. It’s also missing a lot of content, which was removed because consoles weren’t powerful enough to run it. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you don’t have access to a PC.
To answer your question, it’s fine to play solo. The game will definitely be easier at first if you join a public platoon and follow them around the map, but I started as a predominantly solo player and have continued to play that way for 12 years. As long as you complete the tutorial, you will have enough information to start as a solo player.
The vote was only 29 to 25 in favour of Ley, and 2 of her biggest supporters are senators who are about to finish up. It could potentially be as easy as switching a couple of votes to flip the balance of power inside the party room. Not to mention Price didn’t even run for deputy, which suggests she is waiting for a better opportunity after a conservative wins the leadership. It’s just denying reality to pretend that this is evidence of them accepting a shift to the centre, they are still a massively divided party.
Yeah that’s exactly what I was thinking, maybe we will start to see this type of thing elsewhere soon. The whole Y2K millennial bait thing is very popular at the moment, lots of people are feeling nostalgic about tech.
I don’t know if anyone else feels this way but the newer design actually looks less modern to me. Blending the colours makes the logo feel more complex, gives me more of a late 2000s Windows Vista kinda vibe. I’m not sure if it actually has a subtle light reflection effect going on as well, but that’s another design trend that used to be a lot more common around that period.
The Sony Xperia 1 VII runs Android 15, with a promise for 4 OS version releases and 6 years of ongoing security fixes
Damn, this is truly great phone now with that extended security promise. It was always the major thing holding back Sony’s flagships, but they’ve addressed it without compromising on some of the things that make their phones unique (headphone jack, microSD expansion, side-mounted fingerprint reader, dedicated two stage camera button, etc).
My local independent cinema just has a flat price of $10.
