  • why would the mage have a spellbook? he can just memorize spells.

as for clerics & paladins, both of those use books/holy scripture as a conduit for their faith, to channel & borrow the powers of the deity/being they follow. they (usually) need the scripture on hand (or at least in hand) to cast spells for this reason. think of it like a lightning rod. sorta. kinda.

  • here, i did it too. to give everything a fair chance, i assumed it would have genuine consent-able intelligence. in the case of the robots, i just let them be only robots with programming. in either case, i assumed they wanted to be with me (through programming or desire) and would try to be as safe as possible.

the undead were kinda in a weird spot though? like i was aware they were undead, but since as im playing the game i dont register them as undead (except for the skeleton), i didnt really pay attention to that in the rankings.

  • This is a funny reply because blazing is hands down one of the best enchants in the game and usually the best choice out of any you’re provided with a SoEnchantment, and unstable is also amazing. Both top tier enchants on bow and fast weapons.

Anyway I feel like everyone keeps missing the point of trinkets. They’re not just meant to boost winrate. Theyre meant to tweak your game mechanics in a balanced way or give you alternate ways to play the game. Even trinkets which only seem like they have upsides (like exotic crystals etc.) still are just opening up a different gameplay path for the price of energy investment.

Sure you can use them to boost winrate if thats all you want to do. But they open up so many weird builds and gameplay changes.
