I went to the your gif and read comments : you won’t see that kind of content here. I also asked users to edit their comment, here, when they critized lemmy and i expect you to do the same.

Yes, i disagree with lemmy dev’s political opinions but that’s not the main reason we enjoy Piefed. And when Nutomic asked me to share lemmy contact and documentation in iceshrimp dev’s channel, i helped him. :)

• The beggining is aggressive. Are you testing if Piefed is open ?
• The meme link. We are from various countries, so the american flag…
• opiniated ? A software isn’t neutral, it follows our ideas. For example i enjoy the rational discourse toolkit. :)
• Reddit, was it necessary ? Last time i went there, i was surprised by the huge amount of bots and ads…we are better of on the fediverse, don’t you think ?

You can disagree with the score system, the no federated vote…and explain your point, why this and that…but not the way you did.

You have point but on the other side, its goal is to avoid karma farming and help mods, admins for creating a serene place for discussion.

There is two distinct score : reputation, attitude.

• Reputation is people’s reaction to your comment and post.
• attitude is how you vote. If you do mass downvote, your ability to downvote is removed until you reach a balance between upvote/downvote.

When we post a gif, and everyone laugh, it’s easy to get a good reputation whereas elsewhere, i might post several terrible comments. That’s why posting gif doesn’t credit you reputation. You can’t use gif to bypass bad comment and get a good reputation.

That’s why it works like that.

Good idea for the matrix instance altough i prefer zulip for its channel management. Can you manage that ? :)

Je trouve la publication sexiste : elle hypersexualise les femmes et dévolorise aussi bien les hommes que les femmes. Et ça nous gène, ce n’est ni comfortable pour les femmes et les hommes.

Je pense que nous pouvons trouver un humour plus fin.

Par contre, nuance, ce n’est pas une question de pudeur. Je fais une distinction entre l’art, le nudisme et la sexualisation. Pour moi, ça a un caractère adulte et ça ne passe pas.
