It’s Missouri, so honestly it could go either way.

The trick is giving your 8 year old just enough alcohol to get them in the zone, but not too much. It’s hard to ride that line as an adult, but for children it’s even tougher. Missouri mom just went a little over and their kid’s driving went to shit. She’ll do better next time.

“The woman’s attorney, Steven Kratky, said at his client’s bond hearing that she not only has two children to take care of but also works as a home health aide and provides care for an elderly homebound grandparent, according to the Riverfront Times.”

I know being a home care worker sucks, but JFC.

She must have crossed over one of the bridges from the Illinois side. They really need to put up roadblocks or something.

This headline is likely going to make someone think they are going to be hearing, “You are under arrest for allowing an under aged minor to operative a vehicle, including while under the influence of alcohol. You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of the law. You also have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you. Do you understand your rights?”

At least this sort of thing probably stops being a problem when self-driving cars get sufficiently deployed.

I’ve been saying this for years. I think it’s an inevitability that will save a lot of lives
