There are a few nowadays
- Firefox vanilla
- Librewolf: https://librewolf.net/
- Arkenfox: https://github.com/arkenfox/user.js/
- Floorp: https://floorp.app/en
- Zen browser (similar to Arc): https://www.zen-browser.app/
Which one is your favorite, and why?
Librewolf - Because it’s independent, focused on privacy, security and freedom.
Librewolf, though I don’t really consider it a fork, more like a repackaged FireFox with sensible defaults. So far it’s been great and I hope it stays around for a while.
Librewolf is a build script and build system with custom configs.
I don’t know much about them, I just use vanilla and pay attention to any new features I might want to disable. I think my threat model trusts Mozilla more than these unknown third party folk.
I’m a Waterfox user.
No particular reason. It doesn’t have much fluff and it works well. That’s all I ask for in a browser.
Right now i’m with Floorp , but I jump from fork to fork often. I’ll probably give a shot to librewolf soon
Librewolf on Linux, Mull (not Mullvad Browser) on Android
What about the MullVad browser? I’m really liking it so far, been using it as my daily driver for a bit now, it’s rad!
Its not Torbrowser but built from it. I see no place for it in my browsing behavior.
Librewolf with Cookie deletion, containers etc over a VPN makes more sense for me.
On mobile? Mull. I don’t bother with forks on the desktop.
Tor Browser.
Librewolf desktop, Mull mobile.
What’s mull mobile?Mull (Privacy oriented web browser) https://f-droid.org/packages/us.spotco.fennec_dos/
Floorp
What a name 🤣
Thanks for mentioning this. I‘ll check some out. Which one is yours?
I have Firefox, Floorp and Librewolf. They all have their perks and are solid options
pale moon :3
LOL
(I hope you dont use that daily, it is damn insecure)
Crazy shit but no, I refer to them using simply an outdated Firefox with no humanpower to reasonably maintain that while not adopting any new standard like MV2
Currently I’m residing with LibreWolf, only recently migrated away from standard FF after Mozilla announced their ad shenanigans…
I main Mullvad on desktop and Mull for mobile. They are not related. You get used to it.
