It really won’t. I use windows a lot and it’s perfectly usable and everything just pretty much works.
Which is what most people care about. Most people don’t care about privacy and the ones that do will already be using Linux where possible.
Many of the other complaints are about customisability. Which again most people don’t care about.
The fediverse is also tiny. Most people stayed on Reddit because again they don’t give a shit about privacy or what the admins get up to. They just want to view content with no fuss. Which is exactly what Reddit provides.
Yeah, their momentum is no joke. This may accelerate the shift towards Linux somewhat.
