    Sure but some information failed to be reported above. Shaq was a 20 year old doof and it was 1992. The full scope of Walmarts potential harm was likely hard to grasp by a kid who struggled to get through high school and had to have custom made size 22 shoes to be able to have shoes to wear to school/practice/ whatever. He wasn’t great with money and one of his teachers advised him to get a financial advisor soon as he was offered a contract. Shaq was smart enough to listen, and nice enough to agree to having cheaper shoes parents could afford rather than $70+ Iverson’s (came out later obviously), $100+ Jordons etc.

    Was the 20 year old Shaq the perfect role model? Probably not at all, but he wasn’t a supervillain.
