I’m going to base this on the owl bear because I feel like it.

so my now made up rule is for animals merged like this the first animal is the modifier and the second is the base.

therefore it is a chicken with a buffalo look, not a buffalo with a chicken look.

real life reference: a whale shark is a shark that looks like a whale, not a whale that looks like a shark

I… have no arguments to propose. Guess this is what we’re doing now.

You’re overthinking it. Think of the food buffalo chicken and which animal would make this. It’s still the same outcome, but if the food was called chicken buffalo for some reason then it’d still be the top.

I have no rational argument, but it feels like buffalo chicken is the top one. The bottom is a chicken buffalo.

Gotta be the first one. Because as we all know, buffalos have wild wings! Thats why they call it buffalo wild wings! The second one doesn’t have ANY wings, much less wild ones!

Come back when the second one develops some wild wings!

Only people who have never had buffalo wings before are confused by this.

Bottom one doesn’t even have wings. Which is a super common way to illustrate it. It would’ve been a more interesting discussion of it did.

In German, the word for scaredy-cat is “Angsthase”, a scaredy-bunny so to say. It rhymes pretty well with “Axthase”, an axe-bunny.

      Anyway, the Axthase:
