Removed, not politics. See “News”.
Why don’t we get them all together in a single place at the same time for a… uh, celebration of health insurance CEOs? We can show them all how much they mean to us at once.
Will be wild!
I’m free next November 5th.
With a big firework!
Right, I forgot to suggest a pizza party! Thanks!
Ah yes, of course, the most sincere display of gratitude! They should all be very familiar with how gracious we are if there’s pizza.
Yeah, get fucked.
Bite me. Would any of them shed a tear for me if I were gunned down in the street? Or died because I was denied life saving medical care because it would eat into their bottom line? I have no sympathy for those without empathy. Get bent.
I thought these folks were frothing at the mouth over the opportunity of having “one violent day.” What happened? Are they not entertained?
Here’s an idea I’ve been kicking around, something to really send a message. What would y’all think about a crowd funding campaign to erect a life sized bronze statue of Luigi, to be commissioned and installed in NYC as close to the shooting site as possible? Alternatively or in addition, a statue could be installed somewhere near UHC’s headquarters in Minnesota.
Some googling suggests a statue like that will cost between $25k-250k. That seems quite doable as far as crowd funding goes.
I’m not particularly partial to statues myself. I would see its value mainly as a means of sending a message, keeping the topic of health reform in the headlines, etc.
I demand murdoch be sat on a flagpole and pushed down until it taps his teeth.
Too bad wishes aint horses eh Rupee?
My first thought? OMG I hope he doesn’t have kids. Ofc, he does. There is empathy, just not in the way they’d like.
Spoke with a conservative sibling, another sibling far left, and they echoed one another. In fact, delay deny defend came up in regard to a surgery coverage for one of them. They feel awful for his widow and kids, but not him. The feeling and common experience re healthcare are unifiers. I’m willing to bet every social circle has a delay deny defend story.
We’re not supposed to unify on anything, people, we’re supposed to fight about trans and not talk to one another. I think that’s a main bother point for corporate.
As for the politics even Shapiro’s following is turning on him regarding this topic. Manosphere: why is anyone surprised by this? No sympathy. Late night talk show hosts who hard lean left: no sympathy for Thompson just light jokes.
And the only politicians speaking frankly are Sanders, Warren, and AOC.
Against the backdrop of everything else, corporate sounds like they’re reading a script. Or a greeting card byline. There’s no real talk there.
“Congrats he had unprotected sex once”
So I hear you are worried about getting killed in retribution for all the harm you are causing the country.
Oh, have you tried physical therapy? Before we try giving a lick of sympathy to your dead oligarch leader, our policy requires you go through 6 weeks of physical therapy first. Then if it doesn’t work, our AI will see if you deserve sympathy next, though we have programmed it to say “go take a hike” 50% of the time.
Not sure if his policy included “staying alive”, bummer
I’m sorry, did they not receive the thoughts and prayers? I’m sure we sent some.
WHY WONT YOU BE MORE SYMPATHETIC TO GENOCIDAL MANIACS? THEY HAVE A FAMILY!!! 🤬
No.
Admit we need a equitable system and change the system then the violence will quell.
It’s not hard they just have to admit they’re greedy monsters is all.
Yet all of these outlets at the same time have run support for Daniel Penny, the man recently acquitted for killing a Black homeless man on the New York City subway… These outlets likewise expressed support for Kyle Rittenhouse after he gunned down Black Lives Matter protesters… and for George Zimmerman when he shot Trayvon Martin…
In other words, it’s fine to defend vigilantes when they kill unarmed Black people or anti-racist activists, but when a CEO’s life is taken, we must solemnly stay silent on the reasons why such a person might be targeted or why bystanders might not be crying.
The narrative isn’t about vigilantes. The narrative is about class. It has always been about class.
Being a vigilante is fine (per the corporate narrative) so long as the victim is low income, “low” class, homeless, or mentally ill.
Luigi killed an upper class rich guy, he didn’t pull from what was allowed: Floyd (low income, “low” class), Neely (homeless, “low” class, mentally ill), the kid killed by Rittenhouse (low income, mentally ill), or Martin (an exemplar of a whole history in class warfare that allows for even a child to be pushed into this bizarre “low” class paradigm because he is black).
Luigi failed to follow the allowed algorithm. That’s why.
They haven’t decided what to do with him yet, how to craft his story, so they’re yelling at the public at large right now. And both Warren and Bill Burr.
High odds they go heavy on placing Luigi in a hole with Kazinsky and McVeigh.
An impressive number of references in that article.
FAIR has always been really solid about dropping references in their articles. I wish more mainstream publications did this. When did this stop being the norm?
