I just like having the approximate THC content listed on the package. Choice doesn’t really matter much when all I care about is if it will work as a drug

The next step is to pay attention to the terps of your favorite strains with the hope of finding the common denominator. That’ll give you a nice baseline to strain/terp hunt in the future. You now know your taste preference.

Thats cause wine snobbism is derived from real science and potential skill. Its just that we come from a history of wine knowledge being an upper class thing so imitating it and complimenting someone on their vintage has more social value then accuracy.

We are going to see similar dynamics and boasting with weed but the culture around it is very different. Less “i know more of wine thus my family is of higher standing. I will act friendly but we will never be friends.” and more “everyone hang out with me please, our group passes so much dope as evidenced by my knowledge. Be my friend (But bring your own weed btw)”

Why are they crying? They have legal weed in steady supply. The other guys are smoking whatever someone’s cousin grew in their basement and they had to hang out with him for an hour before he sold them the underweight bag.

Used to be the case when buying in person, but we’ve evolved with the times and the darknet lol

Really does make a big difference for medical use to be able to consistently get the same strain and not just whatever your dealer has in that week.

I’ve actually seen a strain named AK-47 while visiting a dispensary with my friends

“Yo man what strain are we smoking?”

    “BRATATATATATATATATATATAT”

    “Aw man, I prefer AR15”

Modern weed called shit like “space chungus tripple skunk” just sends me into a paranoid spiral.

I was raised on bush weed and Aussie bastard cannabis and I’ll forever be a bush weed and ABC lover.

Cybertruck Meth. It’s overly expensive, will kill you, and you’ll alienate all your friends and family.

      Friends don’t let friends Cybertruck.

I don’t smoke weed, are the highs different between weeds with the same THC content and same strain like indica?

Yes. Other cannabanoids, terpenes, and flavonoids can vary quite drastically strain to strain, and at least some scientific research (and a lot of anecdotal evidence) indicates it makes a difference.

IME strain tolerance provides quantitative proof of this (if you smoke the same strain for many days/weeks the subjective effects will lessen, if you switch strains you’ll suddenly get a much stronger effect).

It’s also worth noting that the indica/sativa distinction is almost entirely marketing today, and most everything is a hybrid.

If anyone’s interested this is a solid research paper that discusses this in more detail. Sativa and indica effectively mean nothing nowadays, terpenes are the true tell. It also talks about claimed terpenes and whether they existed in products purchased and how often each terpene pops up.
